Resident Update
1/19/2026
Dear Residents,
I wanted to share a brief safety update with you. A vehicle was stolen from our community a few nights ago in the area of approximately 7700 E 600 S. Unfortunately, the key had been left inside the car. The vehicle was later recovered in Roy. It also appears the individuals involved may have disabled or tampered with the homeowner’s security camera system.
While we continue to live in a very safe and close knit community, incidents like this are a reminder that organized theft can happen anywhere, particularly in areas perceived as affluent. This is not meant to cause concern but rather to encourage awareness and simple preventative steps.
Please remember to never leave keys inside your vehicle and to always lock your car, even when parked at home. Do not leave firearms or valuables inside your vehicle. If you notice anything suspicious, please report it to local law enforcement. Looking out for one another and communicating concerns with neighbors goes a long way in keeping our community safe.
We do not want to instill fear, but staying vigilant and practicing common sense precautions helps protect everyone.
Thank you for looking out for each other and helping maintain the wonderful place we all call home.
Warm regards,
Richard Sorensen
Mayor, Huntsville Town
